The Stars In My Dream
An animated countdown to the song Dreams by Joakim Karud.
This was a project that I had created for a live streamer, Mochi17, on Twitch.tv to use for her intro. The animation counts down from 3 minutes and 30 seconds to the start of her stream. I had voluntarily taken the initiative to do this in order to improve the broadcaster's channel. The goal was to entertain regular viewers as well as attract newcomers that may see this thumbnail on the search page. The way thumbnails work on Twitch.tv for live streams is the website automatically generates a snapshot of the current live frame every 5 minutes (link). As a result, at the start of her stream, a snapshot of this animation would prove to be unique from other live streamers.

Mood and Tone - Color Scheme
While moderating the live stream, I had envisioned an idea to create a motion graphic that would embody the channel's personality. I started making colour schemes that would represent the feelings: Tranquility, gentleness, and magical. I then searched for a colour palette for my reference online. From those palettes, I decided to theme the project around the stars and sunset in the sky. To create this, I used Photoshop to digitally paint a gradient.
